DDC inspects progress of developmental projects in Poonch town, adjoining areas

Poonch : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Kundal on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive tour of Poonch Town and surrounding villages to monitor and assess the progress of ongoing developmental projects.
During the tour, DDC Vikas Kundal inspected several key infrastructural projects, including the upcoming additional Building at Dina Nath Rafiq Memorial Government Girls Higher Secondary School at Sheesh Mahal, PALAASH Building, DDC/PRI Building and the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme at Bhainch.
He issued specific directives to the concerned departments to adhere to scheduled timelines and avoid unnecessary delays. “The expeditious completion of projects will allow the local community to benefit from improved infrastructure and public services at the earliest,” he stated.
Commending the efforts of all line departments in implementing the projects satisfactorily, the DDC emphasized on strict adherence to the approved detailed project reports.
At the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Sheesh Mehal, he approved the construction of a damaged boundary wall for the institution. Additionally, he inspected the progress of the water supply scheme at Bainch under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and instructed the concerned executing agency to complete the scheme promptly for the benefit of the public.
DDC Kundal also visited the District Hub for Women Empowerment in Poonch and the Sakhi One Stop Centre, taking stock of the functioning of these vital institutions.
This extensive visit underscores the administration’s commitment to addressing civic issues, expediting developmental works, and enhancing the overall infrastructure and living standards of the local residents of Poonch.
DDC was accompanied by CPO Poonch, Xen PDD, Xen Jal Shakti Poonch, Xen PWD, along with other district and sectoral officers during his tour.
