Drug Peddler Arrested, FIR Registered, Approx 2kg Ganja Recovered Under Operation Sanjeevani: Police

Jammu: Police in Jammu on Tuesday said that District Police Jammu on Tuesday apprehended one drug peddler, namely Umen w/o Chaterhans, R/o U/P A/p Channi Rama Jammu, and also recovered 1kg 900 grams of Ganja from her possession during patrolling at Narwal area. A case, under FIR No. 16/2025 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act, was registered at Police Station Trikuta Nagar. Further investigation is underway to unearth the forward and backward linkages of the arrested individual.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office, Jammu Police said that the operation was meticulously planned and executed by SHO Trikuta Nagar and ICPP Narwal, under the supervision of SDPO City East and SP South. Talking to reporters Senior Superintendent Police, Jammu, reiterated the commitment of the Jammu Police to eliminate the menace of drug abuse from the district. He emphasized the importance of community support in tackling this societal issue. “We urge all citizens to join hands with the police in our anti-narcotics drive.
