6-Day Entrepreneurship Dev Prog concludes at JKEDI Jammu

Jammu : A six-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP), successfully concluded on Tuesday at the District Centre of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Jammu.
The EDP was organized by JKEDI under the guidance of Director JKEDI Rajinder Kumar Sharma and aimed at nurturing aspiring entrepreneurs from Jammu district under the JKREGP scheme. A total of 23 participants successfully completed the training program.
Throughout the six-day program, participants were trained in essential business concepts, including business plan formulation, marketing strategies, accounts management, record keeping, customer relationship management, and other relevant topics. The training also focused on business ventures in manufacturing, services, and agri-allied sectors. Participants explored small business opportunities such as retail outlets for cosmetics and readymade goods, cattle feed units, electrical goods stores, dairy farming, goat farming, commercial vehicle operations, and hardware stores in various parts of Jammu district.
The program was coordinated by District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Rajesh Kotwal, along with Office Associate Monika Salaria and Administrative Assistant Nauty Pandoh.
Speaking at the valedictory ceremony, Rajesh Kotwal emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship and self-employment in driving economic development in Jammu and Kashmir. He encouraged the participants to leverage the knowledge and skills acquired during the program to establish sustainable business ventures.
Several participants shared their experiences, expressing confidence in embarking on their entrepreneurial journeys. They acknowledged the comprehensive training provided by JKEDI as instrumental in equipping them with the tools and confidence needed to realize their business aspirations.
The program is a testament to JKEDI’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and empowering individuals to contribute to the region’s socio-economic development.
