Srinagar : The National Youth Day or Rashtriya Yuva Divas is celebrated annually on 12th January in commemoration of philosopher and thinker Swami Vivekananda.
His inspiring message to the youth is to nurture their dreams, unleash their energies, and shape a future worthy of his envisioned ideals.
To commemorate this day, the NSS unit of GDC Khansahib, under the patronage of college Principal Dr. Nargis Bano, organised a webinar on the theme “Youth for a Sustainable Future: Shaping the Nation with Resilience and Responsibility.”
On the occasion, the NSS Programme Officer Dr. Sajad Padder, presented a detailed overview about the history, significance and spirit of observing the National Youth Day.
He highlighted the challenges and opportunities faced by youth in today’s digital age and emphasized on enhancing their cognitive and vocational skills.
The students were also sensitized about the fundamental duties as enshrined in Article 51A of Indian constitution.
The youth were urged to refrain from drug addiction and contribute in the promotion of a healthy and resilient society. The program ended with a question-answer session.
