GMC Anantnag gets state of the art CBCT Scan installed

Anantnag: In a highly significant development, Department of Dentistry GMC Anantnag has got the state of the art CBCT Scan Installed Friday.
The installation was inaugurated by Principal and Dean of GMC Anantnag Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb.
HOD Dentistry Dr Sanjeet Singh Risam, Prof. ENT and HNS Prof. Sajad Majid Qazi, Medical Superintendent MMABM Associated Hospital Dr Arshad Hassan Siddiqui, Assistant director planning Peerzada Khursheed Ahmad, Chief Accounts Officer Mohd Ayoub Lone, and other eminent doctors of the department, a statement issued here on Friday reads.
The CBCT Scan installed at GMC Anantnag will benefit hundreds of thousands of residents of south Kashmir and the adjoining areas of the Chenab valley like Banihal and Ramban and the adjacent areas.
CBCT Scan is a three dimensional high definition scan of the head encompassing all maxillofacial regions, including the neck region.
This machine not only provides a 3D CT scan of the head, but also OPG, a two dimensional X Ray of the whole mouth, with the additional advantage of very low risk of significant radiation exposure. The machine is highly advantageous for pregnant women who are supposed to avoid high radiation exposures, reads the statement.
All the arrangements for the inauguration ceremony were made by the Department of Dentistry GMC Anantnag. The media fraternity aptly covered the inauguration ceremony for dissemination of information regarding availability of the facility at GMC Anantnag, it added.
Head, Department of Dentistry Dr Sanjeet Singh Risam GMC Anantnag. A full CBCT Scan will be done at the government fixed rate of 1200 INR, OPG at 150 and lateral Ceph at 150 respectively.
Principal and Dean of GMC Anantnag Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb congratulated the department of dentistry for getting this advanced diagnostic tool installed in the department. She hoped that this will prove a big leap in providing highly advanced dental surgical care to the patients at their door steps
