DDC Poonch reviews progress of works under Distt Capex Budget 2024-25

Poonch : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting on Friday in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the physical and financial progress of works under the District Capex Budget 2024-25.
The DDC conducted a thorough review of each sector, receiving valuable feedback regarding the current status of developmental and non-construction works.
At the outset, the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Poonch presented a detailed overview via a PowerPoint presentation, highlighting both ongoing and completed projects funded by the District Capex Budget 2024-25. This included sectors such as Roads and Buildings (R&B), Elementary and Secondary Education, Youth Services and Sports, Health, Minor Irrigation, Public Health Engineering (PHE), NFB, United Grants, and various grants under the Aspirational District Plan and Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP).
The meeting revealed that the approved outlay for new works in the fiscal year 2024-25 amounts to Rs.9903.45 lakh, with funds released so far totaling Rs. 8309.69 lakh Expenditure up to the end of December stands at 1518.30 lakh.
Additionally, it was noted that a total of 2,997 new works have been initiated during the financial year 2024-25 across different sectors and executing agencies. Out of these, 397 works have been completed, 2,607 works have been tendered, and 2,157 projects have been allocated for execution throughout the district.
Following the sector-wise review, DDC Vikas Kundal urged all departments and executing agencies to expedite work and ensure the timely completion of projects. He emphasized the importance of achieving all targets for the current financial year within the stipulated timeframe and encouraged district and sectoral officers to put forth their best efforts for the optimal utilization of funds across various schemes.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including the Superintending Engineer of PWD, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Rajouri/Poonch, ACD, ACP, CEO, CMO, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, XEN I&FC, XEN PWD, XEN Jal Shakti, XEN REW, CEO MC Poonch, BDOs and other concerned officers.
