Jammu : Police in Jammu on Friday said that in a drive against illegal mining and to tighten the noose against the violators, Jammu Police has initiated strict action against the criminals involved in illegal mining and minting money out of public resources.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office, Jammu Police said that in an operation carried out at different locations in South Zone of District Jammu, adding therein that Police Post Phallain Mandal under the leadership of Police Sub Inpector Balbir Singh detained two dumpers, one1 JCB machine, and one tractor trolley loaded with sand, all seized under illegal mining, adding therein that on the other hand, Police Post Chatha under Police Sub Inspector Karnail Singh seized one tractor trolley and one dumper, adding therein that Police Post Belicharana under Police Sub Inspector Rajesh Singh seized two dumpers.
Stating that in all8 vehicles were seized in the jurisdiction of Police Station Satwari of South Zone of Jammu district Police in its statement further said that after detaining these vehicles, the District Mining Officer was informed for necessary legal actions.
