Srinagar,Jan 09,A man lost his life while excavating sand from the Jhelum River in Kakapora Hajibal, area of South Kashmirโs Pulwama, Thursday morning.
Officials said that the incident occurred early morning when a traditional sand miner lost his life while excavating sand from the Jhelum River in Hajibal, Kakapora.
He was identified as Raqib Ahmad, son of Mohammad Ismail Dar, a resident of Hajibal and currently living in Lethpora, Kakapora, Pulwama. Despite efforts to rescue him, he could not be saved.
