Srinagar : Mahindra’s Dealer namely Himalayan Motors Sangrama in North Kashmir’s Baramulla, is under fire after a disgruntled customer accused the dealership of delivering subpar service and neglecting after-sales support.
Shabir Ahmed Sofi, a resident of Tangpora Sumbal, alleged that the Mahindra auto (registration number JK15B-8984) he purchased just four months ago has been plagued with persistent technical faults for the past three months.
Despite repeated visits to workshops in Srinagar and Baramulla, the issues remain unresolved, leaving Sofi unable to use the vehicle and incurring financial losses.
The buyer, Shabir Ahmad Sofi told a local news gathering agency in Srinagar that the workshop staff dismissed his concerns, attributing the faults to cold weather, claiming, the vehicle would function properly once the temperature rises.
He described their response as “unprofessional and absurd.”
The alleged negligence by Himalayan Motors has prompted Sofi to call on Mahindra’s management to take immediate action and ensure his vehicle is repaired. He criticized the dealership for failing to uphold basic service standards, leaving him stranded and dissatisfied.
This incident has sparked apprehension among other customers regarding the reliability of the dealership’s services. Many are now questioning whether the dealership can be trusted to deliver the quality of service expected from a brand like Mahindra.
“I urge Himalayan Motors to address the issue promptly and restore customer confidence and protect Mahindra’s reputation in Kashmir Valley,” he sadi.
