Hakeem seeks special employment package for local youth in Indian Railways

PDF Chief asks Govt to unveil roadmap for regularization of casual labourers

Srinagar : Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front ( J&K PDF) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has greeted people of Jammu and Kashmir over completion of the Delhi – Katra- Baramulla rail line and has urged the Center to announce a special employment package for the local educated youth , skilled and unskilled persons in the Indian Railways . He has also welcomed the decision to creat a fullfleged railway division at Jammu , hoping that local youth would be given first preference in recruitments in the Indian railways.
In a statement issued on Sunday Hakeem Yaseen while greeting people of Jammu and Kashmir on completion of the Delhi – Katra – Baramullah rail line , has said that this ambitious project would bring socio- economic prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir and improve livelihood , besides opening job avenues for the unemployed youth. He has appealed the PM Narinder Modi to announce a special employment package for the educated youth and skilled and unskilled persons of Jammu and Kashmir in the Indian Railways .
The PDF Chairman has also reiterated his demand to regularise the services of contractual and daily rated workers working in various government and public sector Undertakings (PSUs ) who are working for meager salaries since decades. He has urged the National Conference Government to fulfill the demand at the earliest as promised in their manifesto. He has castigated the Government for maintaining dead silence on the issue..He said casual workers working in various deapartments have pinned high hopes with the present dispensation about thier regularisation which has been promised to them in the election manifestive.
PDF Chairman while highlighting the plight of casual labours said that these families were in great financial disress due to meeger salaries. He said government should immediately announce a roadmap for phased regularisation of the contractual and daily rated workers working in various departments including CICs , Anganwadi , ASHA ,Health and NHM workers to ease out thier growing tension and frustration. Hakeem expressed serious concern over the burgeoning unemployment problem adding that was a matter
J&K has the highest unemployment rate in the country.
