Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Pulwama and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police team of Police Post Newa during patrolling at Wurwan arrested a drug peddler identified as Mudasir Ahmed Bhat S/o Gh Mohi-ud-Din Bhat R/o Parigam and during search recovered 5 grams of Heroin from his possession.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 04/25 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pulwama besides initiating investigations Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to co-operate with it to eliminate the drug menace from the society.
