Prompt action for forcing parents to purchase non-recommended textbooks: Edu Minister

Srinagar : Following the hue and cry regarding purchase of textbooks other than those prescribed by JKBOSE, the Minister of Education, Sakeena Itoo Saturday said that the government will take prompt action against the private schools who are found guilty.
Talking to a local news gathering agency the Minister said “The complaint of the parents will have a prompt action. If any school is found guilty, we will make sure that action is taken on the very next day.” “We have already constituted a zonal and district level Committee who will monitor the violations done by the private schools,” she said.
About the selling of textbooks by private schools within the institute, the education minister a day before haf said that the government has constituted a district and zonal level committee. “They have been asked to monitor the violation so that appropriate action is taken against those private schools.” In the meantime, sources said that the government is mulling to cancel the recognition of those private schools immediately after the complaint if found guilty. “If any private school is found guilty in sale and pursue of non-recommended textbooks will face the de-recognition very next day,” sources said. Pertinently, Netizens took to different social media platforms to raises their concern regarding sale and purchase of non-recommended textbooks within the educational institutions. The Netizens have also expressed their concerns regarding the soaring prices of the unnecessary textbooks
