Samba : Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma conducted an extensive tour of Block Sumb on Saturday, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to grassroots governance and rural development.
The day-long tour commenced with the Deputy Commissioner’s visit to the revered Baba Shivo Shrine, Goran, where he assessed the Shrine board’s operations and management system.
Later, he chaired a pivotal block-level outreach programme, which served as a direct interface between the administration and local residents. Vice-Chairperson DDC Balwan Singh was also present

The outreach programme, organized by the Block Development Officer of Dr. Varnika Raj, saw active participation from key district officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba Jagdish Singh and. The administration placed special emphasis on three critical areas: enhancing road connectivity, accelerating infrastructure development, medical care, promoting agriculture and cattle welfare.
A notable highlight of the tour was the inspection of the Bamboo Common Facility Centre, where the Deputy Commissioner engaged with local artisans to understand their challenges and growth prospects.
