DLSA Kulgam holds prog for implementation of NALSA Schemes 2024

Kulgam : DLSA Kulgam held an overview Orientation Training Programme for implementation of the NALSA Schemes 2024
District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam held an overview programme on Orientation Training Programme for the members of the Legal Service Unit for Persons with Mental Illness and Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (LSUM) and Legal Services Unit for Children (LSUC).
The event was held under the Chairmanship of Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Chairman DLSA Kulgam/Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Kulgam and under the supervision of Mehreen Mushtaq, Chief Judicial Magistrate/Secretary, DLSA Kulgam and in presence of Additional District and Sessions Judge Parvaiz Iqbal and was attended by Mentor/ Advisor of Committee (Retired Judicial Officer) Mohammad Ashraf Bhat and members of the Said units.
The initiative aims to enhance the understanding and implementation of the NALSA Scheme 2024.
Mohammad Ashraf Bhat (Retired Judicial Officer) advisor/mentor of the committee, addressed the participants virtually.
He emphasized the need for effective implementation of the scheme and provided valuable insights on the role of LSUM and LSUC in bridging the gap between the legal system and vulnerable individuals.
The Resource Person for the programme Basit Farooq Assistant LADC provided insights of the Schemes and the purposes for which the Units have been constituted.
The Chairman DLSA-Kulgam Aijaz Ahmed Khan emphasized upon the fact that there is a need to work with dedication for realizing the purposes of these Schemes and for proper coordination amongst different Units and stakeholders so that the real objectives of the scheme are fulfilled.
Secretary DLSA Kulgam Mehreen Mushtaq moderated the programme and deliberated upon the theme of the programme with special focus on the Units constituted for the implementation of the Scheme.
