DC Shopian; Director Archives, Archeology & Museums visit heritage sites of Distt

Shopian: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar and Director, Archives, Archeology and Museums, J&K, Kuldeep Krishan Sidha and other officers on Thursday visited various cultural and heritage sites of the district in order to assess their needs for their upkeep and rejuvenation.
During the visit, the officers made an inspection of Kapal Mochan Temple at Nagbal and Jamia Masjid at Shopian.
Comprehensive review of development/ rejuvenation plans of these cultural sites was done for preservation of their historical and cultural importance.
During the visit, members of the management committee of Kapal Mochan and Jamia Masjid interacted with the officers and put forth their suggestions for the infrastructural interventions to be made at these sites.
ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ACR, Shakoor Ahmed Dar, Exen R&B, and other concerned officers were present.
