The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Maqsood Ahmed; Lead District Manager Sanjeev Bhasin; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Khalid Hussain; District Sheep Husbandry Officer P.P. Sagotral Assistant Director Fisheries Bodh Raj and officers from various banks operating in the District.
The DDC directed banks to enhance priority sector lending and emphasized improvement in the Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio, which currently stands at 54 percent. He urged all stakeholders to take concrete steps to enhance the ratio for the economic growth of the district.
Key progress under credit linked schemes was reviewed in detail. The meeting was informed that 1906 cases have been disbursed under KCC (Animal Husbandry) against 2230 sponsored cases, while under KCC (Sheep Husbandry) 36 cases were disbursed out of 87 sponsored cases. Similarly 21 cases were disbursed under KCC (Fisheries) against 30 sponsored cases. The DDC instructed banks to ensure the timely disbursement of pending cases.
It was further informed that 52 cases have been disbursed under the Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME). Noting slow disbursement under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), the DDC directed concerned officers to take immediate corrective measures.
Reviewing the progress under the self-employment schemes, the chair was informed that disbursement has been made against 73 proposals sponsored under PMEGP. The DDC directed the District Industries Centre to motivate the maximum number of youth for self employment by promoting PMEGP and other like schemes.

The DDC reiterated the need for enhanced coordination between banks and government departments to ensure the benefits of these schemes reach the intended beneficiaries promptly.
