Srinagar : The Cyber Police of Sopore on Tuesday achieved significant success in tackling online financial fraud in 2024, recovering Rs. 22,23,343 and saving Rs. 37,14,988 from fraudsters.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that throughout the year, the Cyber Cell received 113 complaints regarding fraudulent transactions from bank accounts. The dedicated efforts of the Cyber Police led to the recovery of a substantial sum and the prevention of further losses.
Addressing financial scams, the Cyber Police also resolved several social media crime cases during 2024, continuing their vigilance in the digital space.
