MLA Gulmarg Reviews Functioning of Deptts, Arrangements for Tourists*

Tangmarg : Farooq Ahmad Shah, MLA Gulmarg, chaired a meeting with officials from the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Power Development Department (PDD), Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, and the Mechanical Department in Tangmarg.
During the meeting, Shah reviewed the functioning of these departments, with a special focus on the restoration of essential services disrupted by the recent snowfall. He directed the officials to expedite the restoration of water and power supply in affected villages and ensure that roads are cleared promptly for smooth transportation. Shah emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to address public grievances efficiently. SDM Gulmarg and Executive Officer Municipal Committee Tangmarg were also present in the meeting. Immediately after concluding the meeting, MLA Gulmarg visited SDH Tangmarg to inspect the functioning of the Hospital. Later, Shah chaired another meeting at the Gulmarg Golf Club with key officials, including the CEO of Gulmarg Development Authority, the Executive Officer of the Gulmarg/Tangmarg Municipal Committee, the Assistant Director of Tourism, and the Tourist Officer. The meeting focused on reviewing the arrangements made for visitors and the facilities provided to tourists in Gulmarg. The MLA highlighted the importance of providing transparent, fair, and hassle-free services to ensure a positive experience for all visitors. He urged the officials to enhance facilities and maintain high standards of service to promote Gulmarg as a world-class tourist destination.
