IIM Jammu Strengthens Holistic Wellness Initiative with Launch of YourDOST Services for Mental , Emotional Well-Being

Jammu | Dec. 26: In a landmark initiative aimed at fostering mental and emotional well-being, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, through Anandam: The Center for Happiness, launched Your DOST’s counseling services on 26th Dec 2024 at Mandapam Auditorium. This step underscores Anandam’s commitment to building a supportive environment that prioritizes holistic wellness for the IIM Jammu community. The session emphasized the importance of mental
health and introduced the comprehensive suite of services provided by Your DOST.
The event was graced by Shri Chinmay Chadha, Your DOST. Present on the occasion were Dr. Mamta Tripathi, Chairperson, Anandam, IIM Jammu and Dr. Eshika Aggarwal, Co-Chairperson, Anandam, IIM Jammu. The launch was accompanied by an engaging orientation session held at both the Jagti and at Canal Road campus, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, officers, and staff. YourDOST is a mental health and wellness platform that offers online and offline counseling with access to certified therapists and counsellors. The platform aims to create stigma-free, technology-driven solutions for mental health challenges such as anxiety, stress, and relationship concerns, ensuring a healthier and happier campus environment.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, emphasized that the collaboration with YourDOST marks a significant step forward in the institute's journey to promote mental health and emotional well-being. He highlighted that this
initiative reflects IIM Jammu’s commitment to fostering a thriving and balanced environment for all stakeholders. IIM Jammu remains dedicated to creating a supportive ecosystem that prioritizes holistic wellness and empowers
individuals to excel both personally and professionally. Chinmay Chadha, Representative, Your DOST, highlighted the partnership’s significance with IIM Jammu, expressing enthusiasm for providing accessible and professional mental health services. He emphasized the platform’s 24×7 availability, its large pool of counsellors, clinically designed therapy sessions, and confidential,
stigma-free environment—all offered free of cost. He shared the inspiring story of Richa, the founder of Your DOST, and her vision for prioritizing mental health. He encouraged the audience to reflect on activities that bring happiness and utilize tools like the emotional wellness test (WEF). He also mentioned the platform’s impactful campaigns, e-certificates for participation, and its high user rating of 4.6, highlighting the quality and reliability of its services. The session began with an ice-breaking activity and discussions on stress management. Participants explored the significance of emotional wellness, the role of counselling, and common barriers to seeking mental health support. A detailed introduction to YourDOST services, including methods to access the platform and connect with experts, was provided. The event concluded with a Q& A session, where attendees actively engaged with experts, seeking clarity on mental health-related concerns. This partnership aligns with Anandam’s vision of “enabling all to experience the perpetual and ultimate happiness
within.” With YourDOST’s professional expertise, IIM Jammu aims to provide a safe, supportive space for individuals to navigate life’s challenges, fostering resilience and mental wellness within the community. The event marks a significant milestone in IIM Jammu’s journey towards enhancing the mental health landscape. The institute looks forward to continued engagement with Your DOST and to furthering its mission of holistic well- being for all.
