DC Shopian chairs preparatory meeting on R-Day Celebrations, Fixes deptt wise role, responsibilities for impactful celebrations

Shopian: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Republic Day-2025 celebrations.
During the meeting, department-wise roles and responsibilities were assigned to ensure impactful and memorable celebrations across the district.
Key decisions and assignments made during the meeting include Parade and March Past by the District Police & Paramilitary forces and students contingents; Flag Hoisting; Security Arrangements; Infrastructure and Logistics, medical, transport & parking, PAS, stage setup, seating, sanitation facilities, besides organizing cultural events including folk dances, music performances, and theatrical shows, etc.
The DC emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among all departments to make the Republic Day celebrations a grand success.
The functions shall be held at District Level, sub divisional level at Zainapora, Tehsil & Block levels besides in village based institutions of the district.
