Srinagar: Paras Health, Srinagar, a leading healthcare provider in Jammu & Kashmir, has announced the introduction of Fluorescence Imaging System, a ground-breaking technology designed to enhance the precision and effectiveness of surgeries. The new system, which is not only introduced but successfully used at the Paras Health Srinagar, will support the hospital’s experienced cancer surgery team and increase efficiency and accuracy in breast, GI- gastrointestinal, and other cancer surgeries. Surgeons at this multispecialty hospital are already performing high-precision surgeries like thyroidectomy and modified radical mastectomy (MRM) with exceptional skill. With the addition of this imaging technology, they can perform even more accurate procedures, ensuring the best outcomes for patients.
The Fluorescence Imaging System offers advanced capabilities to visualize tissue perfusion and assess tissue health in real-time during surgery. This technology allows surgeons to see the blood and lymphatic flow in greater detail, helping them make informed decisions throughout the procedure. By improving the accuracy of tissue assessments, the system reduces the risk of complications, leading to overall better outcomes for patients. The hospital has completed two cases successfully already with this technique and now it is available here.
“Paras Health has always been committed to providing the latest advancements in medical care, and this new system further strengthens the hospital’s position as a leader in healthcare innovation in the region. For many years, patients in Jammu & Kashmir have had to travel to larger cities for specialized treatments. Now, with the introduction of this Fluorescence Imaging System, they can receive world-class care right here in Srinagar, eliminating the need for long-distance travel while ensuring that the latest technologies are available locally.” said Dr. Gautam Das, Zonal Director, Srinagar.
The introduction of this state-of-the-art technology has made it possible to do both open and minimally invasive surgeries with great precision. With this, the radiology department has become advanced with the DEXA scan and mammography (Breast Cancer Screening), so they have already been introduced and are coming up soon by the end of this year. This introduction reinforces Paras Health’s commitment to bringing updated medical technology to its patients and supports the growth of homegrown innovations in the healthcare sector.
Paras Health continues to enhance its commitment to patient care by incorporating advanced technologies that not only improve surgical precision but also reduce the risk of complications, making healthcare more efficient, accessible, and compassionate for the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
