DC G’bal reviews implementation of Mission-YUVA, Directs planning for conducting comprehensive baseline survey

Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of Mission Yuva Udhayami Vikas Abhiyan (YUVA) in the district in a meeting convened at DC office Ganderbal.
On the occasion, the DC emphasized the objectives of the Mission YUVA, a government initiative aimed at fostering sustainable employment opportunities in J&K by supporting the creation of new micro-enterprises, expanding existing businesses and encouraging innovative entrepreneurial ventures.
He held an in-depth discussion with the officers on the mission’s effective implementation which included strategies for providing necessary training, and fostering strong coordination and collaboration among departments and stakeholders.
The DC directed all the line departments to focus on the key action points and understand their roles to ensure the mission’s objectives are achieved effectively and efficiently.
He also took a detailed review of training/demonstration sessions to the nominated supervisors, Investigators to ensure smooth and proper conduct of the baseline survey under Mission YUVA. AD Employment informed that training of nominated staff is underway and will be concluded within the timeline.
Furthermore, he urged the officers to prioritize efficient planning for conducting a comprehensive baseline survey of existing and potential entrepreneurs in the district.
Meanwhile, a comprehensive training program was held for Supervisors, Investigators in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, appointed for the conduct of Baseline Enumeration/Survey to ensure there are no disruptions during the conduct of this extensive survey.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad; CEO, District Officer Employment, DSO, ALC, ACP and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
