Poonch : The UDYAM JAGRITI awareness campaign, aimed at empowering youth through entrepreneurship and skill development was launched on Saturday here at the Auditorium Hall of Government Degree College Poonch.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal attended as the chief guest, highlighting the initiative’s focus on creating entrepreneurs and fostering a supportive startup ecosystem.
The program attracted significant youth participation, particularly from Panchayat Kunyian. Key elements include encouraging business exploration, providing skill development training in areas such as digital skills and agriculture, and enhancing employability through technical skills.
Deputy Director Employment, Rafiq Ahmad, delivered a welcome address, inspiring attendees to engage actively with Mission YUVA.
Nodal Officer JKEDI and Employment Officer DE&CC Poonch provided insights into the program’s benefits and the importance of registering on the Youth Skill and Entrepreneurship Application.
In closing, the Deputy Commissioner urged youth to participate in an upcoming baseline survey to identify their needs and aspirations, ensuring the program is tailored to local requirements.
The event was attended by various officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tahir Mustafa Malik, General Manager DIC Khalid Wafa besides other concerned officers/officials.
