DC Shopian inspects Water Supply Schemes, sources in Keller

Shopian : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar on Saturday visited various Water Supply Schemes and sources in Keller and Shukroo to inspect the availability of water, particularly in the face of cold temperatures and freezing water sources.
The visit was undertaken to ascertain the actual position of ascertaining the severity of freezing of water supply schemes and sources and instruct measures to tackle water scarcity in some areas of the district,
During the visit, the DC directed officers to take necessary measures to ensure adequate water supply to the local population.
Directives were given to address issues related to water distribution due to freezing water sources, maintenance of water supply infrastructure, and exploring alternative sources of water.
ADDC, Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ACR, Shakoor Ahmad Dar, Ex En Jal Shakti, Ab Rashid Wani, DIO, Showkat Hussain Ganie, AEE and other field officials of the department were also present on the occasion.
