Kathua : Kathua has made history by becoming the first district in Jammu and Kashmir to launch the Face Attendance Application. This initiative aims to streamline attendance tracking for all employees across various departments in the district.
The Face Attendance Application is built on the Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS), which is user friendly and works efficiently ensuring seamless attendance capturing. The application has been developed by NIC, which has been approved by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
This cutting-edge application boasts a face recognition system with a range of 50 meters, capturing the latitude and longitude of the attendee. This ensures accurate and efficient attendance tracking, promoting transparency and accountability within the district’s administrative framework.
By pioneering this technology, Kathua district sets a precedent for other districts in Jammu and Kashmir to follow, fostering a culture of innovation and good governance.
In a significant development, 12 departments have already been onboarded to the Face Attendance Application, with employees successfully using the system to mark their attendance. The district administration plans to expand the application’s coverage to all line departments in the near future, further strengthening the district’s commitment to efficient governance and employee accountability.
