G’bal : Residents of Malshahibagh in the Ganderbal district have raised serious concerns over the recent overflow of a local filtration plant, which they allege has caused extensive damage to their paddy fields and orchards.
According to the locals, the negligence of the filtration plant’s employees has exacerbated the situation, leaving the affected residents to bear the brunt of the destruction without any immediate assistance. The incident has led to significant losses for farmers and orchard owners in the area, who are now urging the concerned authorities to intervene and address the issue promptly.
Meanwhile, the Junior Engineer (JE) of the filtration plant denied the allegations, asserting that the overflow was not connected to the plant. “This is not an overflow from our filtration plant,” the JE stated. When pressed for the cause of the damage, the JE suggested other factors might be at play but failed to provide specific details.
