Anantnag : ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign for redressal of public grievances and improving service delivery continued in the District Anantnag on Friday for the second consecutive day.
In Anantnag, redressal camps promoting citizen centricity were organised at Blocks of K Pora, Breng and Sagam, and Tehsils of Sallar, Shangus and Shabad Bala. Each camp witnessed large scale participation of people.
Morethan 120 applications and nearly 200 grievances of citizens were disposed-off in the camps, besides special awareness campaigns regarding government initiatives were organised by concerned departments. Also, certificates related to public services were issued by concerned authorities and multiple service delivery applications were also disposed-off.
The District Administration has devised an extensive and comprehensive week-long plan of action which shall take administration to the doorsteps of the people across Anantnag, including in remote areas. Each Tehsil and block shall be covered during this campaign. A total of 28 camps have been proposed to be held in total.
Notably, the Union Government has launched the ‘Prashasan Gaon ki Ore’ for strengthening of grassroots democracy. The campaign is a week-long feature which aims to promote Good Governance practices, innovations and replication of initiatives, identification, promotion and documentation of best practices, and taking redressal of public grievances to doorsteps of citizens.
