DC Shopian for effective implementation of Udyam Jagriti (Mission Yuva)

Shopian : The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar on Friday presided over a meeting on Udyam Jagriti (Mission Yuva) at Mini-Secretariat Shopian to discuss the its implementation at the Panchayat level.
At the outset, Assistant Director Employment briefed the meeting by explaining the significance of Udyam Jagriti under Mission Yuva and its benefits on establishment of enterprises in the district.
A PowerPoint presentation was also delivered by the Employment Officer DECC offering a visual overview of the Udyam Jagriti under Mission Yuva.
The DC said that the Mission Yuva has designed an application “Youth Skill & Entrepreneurship App” freely available at Google Play store, which will benefit the youth in entrepreneurship development, from starting point to the culmination of the entire process.
The DC directed all Tehsildars and BDOs to aware the people regarding Mission Yuva and schedule the awareness camps to have a full impact of Mission Yuva on people across the district.
Shahid said that the scheme is aimed at fostering sustainable employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth to promote entrepreneurship and sustainable employment.
The DC held in-depth discussion with the Officers on the mission’s effective implementation, directing all line departments to focus on key action points and understand their roles to achieve the mission’s objectives effectively and efficiently, and emphasized for strong coordination among the departments and stakeholders.
ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone; ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, ACD, Tehsildars, BDOs and other concerned were present.
