The drive was part of a pan-India initiative undertaken in compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court of India to combat child labour, exploitation, and unsafe conditions faced by children.
The aim was to identify and rehabilitate children in need of Care and Protection, ensuring their Rights and Welfare are safeguarded.
The rescue operations targeted high-risk areas such as workshops, dhabas and other establishments where child labor and unsafe practices might exist.
During the drive, One Child engaged in labor was found and produced before the Child Welfare Committee and placed in Palash for temporary shelter.
The team also educated the shopkeepers about the adverse effects of child labor and the importance of Child Rights.
The drive served as a reminder of the collective responsibility of society to protect children from exploitation and ensure their rights to safety, education, and a dignified future.
The establishment employing underage children will face legal action.
