Interaction-cum-workshop on Eat Right Initiatives, FSS Regulation organized at BBIA Bhawan

Jammu : Commissioner Food and Drugs Administration J&K Hashmat Ali Yatoo on Thursday attended One day interaction cum workshop on Eat Right Initiatives & FSS Regulation held here at BBIA Bhawan for Food Business Fraternity.
The Commissioner interacted with member units, officials from ICDS and several other Departments. He also inaugurated the stalls put up by Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, ICDS, Social Welfare Department and those by BBIA Member Units including Sarveshwar Overseas Mills, Nav Bharat Flour Mill, VKC Nuts, Farm Fresh Milk.
BBIA President Lalit Mahajan welcomed the Commissioner Food and Drugs Administration J&K, Officials of Food Safety Department & BBIA Members in the Food Business Operator Meet. He drew the attention of the Commissioner towards the issues related to the Industrial Sector like Road Freight Subsidy to explore the Domestic as well as International Market of various Food & Pharma products being manufactured by Industrial Units of J&K.
The gathering was also addressed by Ravnish Gulati, Gagan Jain, Archit Puri, from Industrial Units, besides Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Jt. Commissioner Food Safety Department J&K, Madan Magotra and Dy. Commissioner Food Safety Department, Jammu.
In the course of discussion, the Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K assured that the Department will work to resolve the issues related to the Industrial Sector on priority basis.
The meeting was also attended by President J & K Pharmaceutical Association & Resident Director, Emcure Pharmaceutical Ltd Satish Koul; Vice President, BBIA Ajay Langer; General Secretary BBIA Viraaj Malhotra; Dy. Commissioner Food Safety Department Jammu Pankaj Soni; Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety Department Rajan Kapoor and a large number of Food Processing Manufacturing Units along with their Employees.
A camp was also organized to register and provide licensees to new vendors by the Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K.
General Secretary, BBIA Viraaj Malhotra presented the vote of thanks.
