Good Governance Week 2024: DC launches “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” Campaign at Ramban

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary on Thursday inaugurated the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign under the ‘Good Governance Week 2024.’
The initiative aims to address public grievances and enhance services delivery across the district. The campaign will run from December 19 to December 24, 2024.
The launch event, held at Maitra Panchayat in Block Ramban, witnessed the participation of senior officials including ADDC Roshan Lal; ADC Varunjeet Singh; ACR S. Harpal Singh; CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather; ACD Shrinath Suman; GM DIC Ravinder Anand; ACP Ashfaq Ahmed and other senior functionaries from the district administration.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the campaign will focus on effective grievance redressal, improved services delivery and saturation of centrally and UT-sponsored schemes.
Talking to media persons, the Deputy Commissioner stated that “Good Governance holds the key to the nation’s progress. ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ is a transformational initiative aimed at bringing effective governance closer to rural communities, ensuring quality service delivery at the grassroots level.”
Key Features of the Program includes On-the-spot grievance redressal, addressing complaints through CPGRAMS and state portals, expedited disposal of services delivery applications, dissemination of best governance practices and success stories. Additionally, workshops on good governance practices and service delivery improvement will be organized across all blocks in the district. Guidelines for the campaign have been shared with all blocks and tehsils to ensure its successful implementation.
Several departments, including ICDS, Handicraft and Handloom, Agriculture, Horticulture, DIC, ITI, JJM, FCS&CA, UMEED, Labour and Employment, and banks, set up stalls to address public grievances and raise awareness about their schemes.
The District administration resolved more than 150 public grievances on the spot, earning appreciation from the public.
A similar camp was held in Block Gandhri, where a large number of residents participated and availed grievance redressal services.
