Ganderbal : As part of the Good Governance Week, the District Administration Ganderbal launched the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign on Thursday with a series of multifarious activities aimed at bringing governance closer to the people.
The campaign, inaugurated across various blocks of the district, focuses on addressing public grievances, expediting the delivery of services, and creating awareness about welfare schemes.
On the first day, the district administration conducted special camps, interactive sessions, and outreach programs, ensuring the active involvement of citizens and officials alike.
Senior officers from various departments participated in the activities, addressing public issues and grievances on the spot while issuing directions for their timely resolution. Emphasis was placed on achieving transparency, accountability, and efficiency in service delivery.
As part of the initiative, awareness programs were organized by departments including Revenue, Rural Development, Social Welfare, Agriculture, and Employment, among others. Citizens were educated about welfare schemes and encouraged to avail benefits provided under government initiatives.
The day concluded with a pledge by the district administration to uphold the principles of good governance and work towards the overall welfare of the community.
The ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign will continue till 24 December with various activities planned to bridge the gap between governance and the grassroots, making governance people-centric and effective.
