Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a burglary case within 24 hours and also recovered stolen property.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that while taking cognizance of a written complaint filed on December 17 by one Naseer Ah Bhat S/o Ghulam Ahmad Bhat R/o Deviahangan Hawal about thieves having broken into his house and stolen various items, including cash, Police Station Nowhatta registered case FIR No. 57/2024 under relevant sections of law and constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by SHO Police Station Nowhatta to carry out thorough investigation of the matter.
Stating that while acting on swift and strenuous efforts and assistance of human and technical intelligence, the accused namely Mohd Shamim Boya S/o Mohd Mamoom Boya R/o Ganga Rampur District Ulbarya Kalkata West Bengal and Mohd Sahil Sheikh S/o Mohd Sahib Ali Sheikh R/o Ali Pora Narala Sector-8 Delhi were identified and arrested by Srinagar Police, Police in its statement further said that the stolen property was recovered on December 18, 2024.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police said that further investigation into the case is underway.
