IIM Jammu Students J&K-Led Delegation Embark on Yuva Sangam Cultural Exchange Journey to Chennai

Jammu : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, under the visionary leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, on Wednesday flagged off a group of 25 students from Jammu and Kashmir, including students from IIM Jammu, at the Jammu Tawi Railway Station via the Andaman Express.
The delegation embarked on the Yuva Sangam journey, traveling from Jammu toChennai, Tamil Nadu. This program, organized under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, aims to foster cultural exchange, national integration, and mutual understanding among youth from diverse regions across the country. Prof. B.S. Sahay personally flagged off the Yuva Sangam
delegation from Jammu and Kashmir from Jammu Tawi Railway Station,
underscoring IIM Jammu’s commitment to promoting unity and cross-cultural learning. This program, organized under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, aims to foster cultural exchange, national integration, and mutual understanding among youth from diverse regions across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, highlighted the significance of the Yuva Sangam initiative in providing students with a unique opportunity to experience India’s unity in diversity. He emphasized the vital role such programs play in shaping perspectives, broadening horizons, and fostering collaboration and inclusiveness. Extending his best wishes to the students, he expressed eagerness to hear about their enriching experiences upon their return. Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics, IIM Jammu, expressed his admiration for the students embarking on this meaningful journey. He underlined that programs like Yuva Sangam not only enable students to explore diverse cultures but also help develop a broader worldview and essential leadership skills, contributing to their holistic growth. Present during the flag-off ceremony were Dr. Ashish Kumar, Nodal Officer, Yuva Sangam, IIM Jammu and Dr. Manu Bansal, faculty, IIM Jammu. The student delegation from Jammu and Kashmir is led by Dr. Harsha Jariwala and Dr. Jagannath G., faculty members at IIM Jammu.As a token of appreciation, Yuva Sangam merchandise featuring the IIM Jammu and NITTTR logos was distributed to all the participants. The students’ participation in the Yuva Sangam program highlights IIM Jammu’s commitment to holistic learning and experiential education. The institute remains dedicated to providing opportunities that not only enhance academic knowledge but also nurture cultural understanding and leadership skills. The entire IIM Jammu community extends its best wishes to the students as they embark on this enriching journey and represent the spirit of Jammu. The entire coordination is handled by Student Affairs Office, IIM Jammu.
