Srinagar : Police in Sopore on Wednesday said that it has solved a burglary case by arresting two accused for being involved in the crime and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the Police Station Panzalla received a complaint from one Ashiq Hussain Shah R/o Brandub Rafiabad, stating therein that during intervening night of December 9th and 10th some unknown burglars entered his home and stole household items, including jewellery and cash following which case FIR No. 53/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Panzalla besides initiating investigation.
Stating that during the investigation, some suspects were called for questioning and later the investigating team with strenuous efforts and by using all available means zeroed in on two suspects identified as Zakir Hussain Shah S/o Khadim Shah and Manzoor Ahmad Shah S/o Munawar Ahmad Shah, both residents of Brandub Rafiabad who confessed their involvement in the commission of crime, Police in its statement further said that both the accused were arrested and, on their disclosure, stolen property including one gold ring, one pair of golden earrings, one golden nose pin and cash amount of ₹20,000 was recovered from their possession.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police appealed people to share information of anti-social elements with J&K Police in shaping future of the youth.
