“Religion Based Reservation Won’t Be Allowed, Cong’s Words Contradict Its Actions On Reservations, BJP Govt Brough Bill To End Tripple Talaq”
“Congress the property of a family considers Constitution also the property of a family, included Art 35A in the Constitution without bringing it to Parliament”
“We Are Closer To Vision Of Maharshi Aurobindo, Swami Vivekananda Who Predicted When Mother India Would Stand In Its Full Glory, The World Would Be Dazzled”

Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday attacked Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi for bringing certain amendments to the Constitution and accused Congress party of appeasement politics.
Replying to the debate on “Glorious Journey of 75 Years of The Constitution of India”, the Home Minister accused India’s first Prime Minister Nehru of amending the Constitution to curtail freedom of speech.
Shah said that the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency as the Allahabad High Court had declared her elections null and void. He further said that lakhs of people were jailed during the Emergency and the media was censored. He also accused the Congress of appeasement politics and stated that the party wants to give reservation to Muslim community on the basis of religion.
“As long as there is even one BJP MP it will not allow reservation on the basis of religion,” the Home Minister said. Shah said that the BJP government brought law to end triple talaq. The Home Minister also accused the Congress of being anti-reservation and claimed that the party’s words and actions have been contradictory.
“Kaka Saheb Kalelkar Commission was formed in 1995 to provide reservation to OBCs. Where is its report? It was forgotten because OBCs would have got reservation,” he said. The Minister said that if the report of Kaka Saheb Kalelkar Commission would have been accepted, the Mandal Commission report of 1980 may not have been necessitated.
Shah also took a dig at senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying that he carried a blank copy of the Constitution during one of the election campaigns. He termed it as ‘biggest fraud’ ever. The Home Minister said that the Congress party is considered property of a family. “You consider the party as the property of a family. You consider the Constitution also as the property of a family. You included Article 35A in the Constitution without bringing it to the Parliament. The country’s territory (Katchatheevu island near Tamil Nadu) was given away and the subject did not even come to the Parliament,” he said. In the beginning of his speech, Shah said that India today stands united and strong in front of the world due to the tireless work of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. “At the stage where we are today, we are closer to the vision of Maharshi Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda who predicted that when Mother India would stand in its full glory, the world would be dazzled,” he said.
