DC Doda discusses arrangements for Republic Day 2025

Doda : Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh convened a meeting here on Tuesday to firm up the arrangements for the Republic Day 2025 celebrations.
The meeting was attended by SSP Sandeep Kumar Mehta, ADDC Pran Singh, ADC Sudershan Kumar, ACR Sunil Bhutyal, ACD Manoj Kumar and other officers. Discussions focused on ensuring coordinated efforts to celebrate the National event with patriotic spirit. The meeting decided to host the District Level function on the Sports Stadium.
Discussions centered on arrangements of sanitation, the face-lifting of the venue, provision of power supply, drinking water availability at the venue, traffic management, stage decoration, security arrangements etc.
The DC directed the Public Works Department (PWD R&B) to prioritize stage construction, drainage upgrading and the installation of Kota stone at the venue. The Municipal Committee was tasked with beautification of the town, while Social Forestry was instructed to plant trees at prominent locations. The ACD was mandated to ensure the hoisting of the National Flag in every Panchayat, symbolizing inclusivity and fostering patriotism across the district. Additionally, the Power Development Department (PDD) was instructed to ensure uninterrupted power supply and illumination of government buildings, bridges, and key structures on the day of celebration.
For the cultural segment, the ADDC was tasked with organizing performances highlighting local traditions, including a special segment showcasing the HADP scheme. The Education and Youth Services departments were directed to involve schools and colleges in the parade and cultural progra Security arrangements were reviewed, with SSP Doda assuring robust measures, effective traffic management, and designated parking areas. Medical teams were also instructed to remain on standby to handle emergencies.
The meeting concluded with discussions on the distribution of invitation cards and the finalization of the event schedule. DC Harvinder Singh emphasized flawless coordination among departments to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
