Kishtwar : In continuation to ongoing enforcement drive, a joint team led by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, (ACR) Kishtwar, Idrees Lone alongwith Tehsildar Kishtwar, Nirbhay Sharma and officials of Traffic Department, Police, NHIDCL, GREF conducted crackdown on unauthorized street vendors and traffic violators in the town area alongside the National Highway.
The drive was aimed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and hassle free movement of pedestrians in the township of Kishtwar.
The vehicles besides stalls were removed to clear illegal occupations along the National Highway in the town area.
The vehicles were challaned and seized besides a fine of over ₹20,000 was realised from violators.
ACR issued strict warning, emphasizing that violations, including illegal parking will attract stringent penalties.
The DC Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan declared the stretches from DC Office to Malipeth and Girinagar to Kuleed Chowk, alongside the National Highway, as no parking zones and appealed to the public and shopkeepers to use designated parking spaces.
