Kulgam, Dec 13: A tragic road accident occurred in the Pambay area of Kulgam, where two individuals lost their lives. The incident took place when a speeding truck lost control, and the driver was unable to regain balance. Local police and residents immediately initiated a rescue operation, with the help of the community, to extricate the victims from the accident site.
Despite the rescue efforts, both individuals succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as Riyaz Ahmed Rather, aged 34 years, son of Muhammad Rajab Rather, and Mukhtar Ahmad Ito, aged 28 years, son of Muhammad Rajab Ito. Both were residents of Gopalpura kulgam.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and further details will be provided as the situation develops.
