Says”CM should lay first focus on addressing power woes””
Srinagar: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) has expressed serious concern over the worst ever power cricis in kashmir valley especially in Khag and other rural areas of Budgam district. He said the whole of Kashmir has plunged into a horrifying blanket of darkness due massive power outages , with the government watching the situation quite helplessly.
The PDF Chief while expressing concern over unprecedented power cricis in kashmir , has urged both the central and state goverments to come to the rescue of consumers and allocate more power supply to suffice needs of the people during the current harsh winter season. ” it is not time to level blame game against one another but to find out a pragmatic solution to the prevailing power cricis in kashmir , Hakeem urged both central and state governments , while pleading for arranging procurement of more power . He said people across the valley were reeling under 10-15 hours of power outages in both metered and non-metered areas.
Expressing his dismay over the disruption of power system all over the valley, Chairman Peoples Democratic Front has urged the Chief Minister to lay his first focus on addring the grave problem of load shedding ,which has crippled normal life in the valley .He said the increased power curtailments have affected not only business community and students but critical patients in various hospitals too have been affected badly.
Besides seeking more procurement of power from the Centre , Hakeem Yaseen has also urged the need for construction of mini power projects in various water rich rural areas including proposed Sukhnag minihydle power project amd shalliganga minihydle power projects in Budgam district . “Construction of such kind of mini power projects may go a longway to meet power requirements of the people on local level, Hakeem maintained.
