DC Srinagar conducts extensive tour of Khonmoh; holds Public Darbar to listen to local issues

Srinagar : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Thursday conducted an extensive tour of Khonmoh area of the District and took spot visits to various developmental sites including Medi-City at Sempora.
He also inspected the Industrial Estate Khonmoh and major Mineral Mining Site at Khyber Khonmoh.
During the visit, the DC also held a Public Darbar at Khonmoh to listen to the issues of the local habitants.
The Public Darbar was attended by a large gathering of locals, who projected their grievances and issues before the DC.
After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the people, the DC sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp. He assured the people of Khonmoh Block that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be looked into on priority.
The DC also gave on the spot directions to the concerned Officers for time bound redressal of the public issues.
Earlier, the DC visited Medi-City at Sempora and took stock of progress of the works on the construction of Kashmir Medical College and Super-Speciality Hospital being developed by Milli Trust, Delhi.
On the occasion, the DC stressed the concerned executing agency to pace up the progress of works and ensure utmost coordination to expedite time bound completion of the projects.
The DC also visited Khonmoh Industrial Estate and inspected several manufacturing units. He also interacted with the Unit holders and the concerned Officers and assured full support from the District Administration.
Later, the DC visited a major Mineral Mining site at Khyber Khonmoh. On the occasion, the DC was apprised about the operationalization of the mining site through a PowerPoint presentation.
The DC was accompanied by General Manager DIC, Chief Planning Officer, GM SIDCO, Deputy Director Health Services, CMO, District Mineral Officer, Manager Estates Khonmoh, Tehsildar Pantha Chowk and others during the tour.
