Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal on Thursday launched awareness programme on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana here at DC Office Complex.
PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is a government scheme that aims to provide free electricity to households in all over India. Under the said scheme, households will be provided with a subsidy to install solar panels on their roofs.
During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the critical role of renewable energy, urging all citizens of Poonch to embrace solar technology.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that beneficiaries can receive a 65% subsidy on the installation of 2KW systems, making renewable energy more accessible to the community.
The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted the importance of sustainable energy solutions in improving quality of life and supporting environmental sustainability.
