Jammu : A delegation of West Pakistani Refugees, who have been now included in the category of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) by the J&K Government, on Wednesday called on the J&K Local Bodies Dedicated Backward Classes Commission.
The delegation was led by its President, Labha Ram Gandhi. The delegation expressed the difficulties and discrimination suffered by their class due to their non-participation in the political process and emphasised the importance of reservation for their class in local body elections.
The Commission gave a patient hearing to the delegation with a view to accord consideration to their grievances.
