Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said that it has seized vehicle (Four-Wheeler Car) valuing approximately ₹3.30 lakhs, belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Jitender Singh S/o Nirmal Singh R/o Gamraj Tral under section 68-Fof NDPS Act 1985 here in Awantipora.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the vehicle was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of enquiry conducted by SHO Police Station Tral under the supervision of SDPO Tral which has been acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic Substances by the said drug peddler.
Stating that the said drug peddler was involved in case FIR No. 28/2024 NDPS Act of Police Station Tral and case FIR No. 139/2021 NDPS Act of Police Station Awantipora, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement reiterated its commitment to combat drug menace and sought help from locals of the area in curbing these miscreants.
