VC JU releases Research Manual-2024

Jammu : Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu today released the first ever ‘Research Manual’ published by the Office of Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu.
The Manual presents the Research Policy and the details of research promotion initiatives of the University during 2018-2024. The volume showcases the research profile and achievements of the departments in the Faculty of Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Sciences, Law, Education, Business Studies, Social Sciences and Arts.
Further, the facilitation for promotion of research provided by the University of Jammu, through the office of Dean Research Studies in the form of trans-disciplinary research scheme and seed grant funding etc to the faculty and research teams of the University are also documented. Besides, the volume, provides the details of Regulations/Statutes 2024 governing the Ph.D programme in sync with UGC guidelines and other important initiatives related to research.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prof Rai said that this Manual stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to research excellence and serves as a valuable resource for showcasing our accomplishments. He also commend the efforts of the office of Dean Research Studies in having taken several proactive steps to foster robust research culture in the University. Prof Rai also complimented the faculty members for their invaluable research contributions in uplifting the University’s research profile as per both national and international standards.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies expressed her satisfaction and hoped that the comprehensive document, as a maiden attempt, shall be useful to the readers in comprehending the research achievements of the University. Prof Rohmetra further desired that it draws attention of the potential partners in industry, academia and government quarters to consider University of Jammu for transformative collaborations in research and development.
