Parking, entry restrictions imposed in specific areas of Doda Town

Doda : Additional District Magistrate, in exercise of the powers conferred U/S 163 BNSS has imposed restrictions/ban on Parking of Vehicles in specific areas within the municipal area of Doda town.
As per the order, no person shall park his/her vehicle on the route from Tourism building near Maruti Show room to Old Bus Stand via Clock Tower; Old Bus Stand to ‘Y’ junction (Bharath-Ghat road junction); ‘Y’ junction (Bharath-Ghat road junction) to the house of Abdul Ahad Natnoo in Ward No. 13; ‘Y’ junction (Bharath-Ghat road junction) to GDC Chowk via Nagri Doda; J&K Bank Branch Nagri to Hospital Road via circular road; Clock Tower to District Police Lines Gate Doda via Dessa road, except in the designated parking areas, parking lots and designated temporary bus stand.
The order further specifies that the buses, metadors shall strictly park only on one side of the road(s) permitted for parking; the auto rickshaws / load carriers shall park only in the designated stand(s); No person shall park any commercial vehicle on road side in municipal area of Doda Town and no loading unloading shall be allowed from 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM, unless permission is granted from District Administration.
It further restricts that no movement of commercial/heavy vehicles shall be allowed in Doda Town from 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM except passenger buses/matador for hassle free movement of the general public. Passenger vehicles shall also ensure to park the vehicles only at the designated parking areas; one way traffic shall be permitted from Circular Road Tondwah to Khan’s Plaza and from Khan’s Plaza via Clock Tower.
The order shall come into effect from 20th of December, 2024. Any violation in this behalf shall be dealt under the relevant provisions of law.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Dy. SP Traffic and ARTO Doda shall ensure the implementation of this order in letter & spirit.
