DE&CC Kathua hosts Job Fair: 10 Candidates get on-spot placement

Kathua : The District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kathua, under the Directorate of Employment, J&K, on Friday organized a Job Fair to connect job seekers with leading private sector companies.
The event witnessed the participation of 129 candidates, who registered as job seekers for various employment opportunities.
Six prominent private sector companies, including Pukhraj Herbal, Raxa Security, Innova Captab Pvt. Ltd., Agile Herbal, LIC Ltd., and Sigma Soft Gel Ltd. participated in the fair. These companies offered a range of job roles such as Sales Executive, Fitters, Wellness Advisers, Wellness Adviser Manager, and Security Guards.
The fair proved to be a significant success, with 45 candidates shortlisted and 10 candidates selected on the spot for employment.
In addition to job opportunities, the youth were informed about various government-sponsored self-employment schemes such as Tejaswini, Mumkin, and the Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative (SEI), encouraging them to explore entrepreneurship and become job creators themselves.
Assistant Director Employment Piyusha Khajuria emphasized the department’s commitment to equipping the youth with market-driven skills. She announced that the department would soon initiate training programs tailored to industry demands, further enhancing the employability of the district’s youth.
