STD, NACIN conducts day long training workshop for Tax Officers of Jammu Div

Jammu : Jammu Kashmir State Taxes Department (STD) in collaboration with National Academy of Costumes, Indirect Taxes and Narcotic (NACIN) conducted a day long training workshop for Tax Officers of Jammu division at Excise and Taxation Training Institution, Nagrota here.
Commission State Taxes, P K Bhat, presided over the workshop as Chief Guest while Additional Commissioner Administration & Enforcement Jammu, Namrita Dogra, chaired other sessions.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner State Taxes said that the this training is strategic move not only to enhance the productivity of tax officers of STD but also promotes significant partnership between the NAICN community for larger economic growth of the nation.
He further impressed upon them to make full use of training to collaborate inputs for detecting ITC mismatches.
In her address, Additional Commissioner, Jammu, Namrita Dogra thanked NACIN, Chandigarh for support to enhances the skills of tax officers. She hoped that similar training capsules will be held in future.
Additional Director, Varinder Kaur from NACIN, Chandigarh was course coordinator while Dr Bhupesh Satija- Deputy Director, Swajesh Gupta, AAD and Pariansh Mittal -EA were resource persons from NACIN, Chandigarh.
The resource persons spoke in detail about various GST laws mainly on Inputs Tax Credit and its rectifications.
The first session was conducted by Dr Bhupesh Satija who enlightened Tax officers about basic provisions of Input Tax Credit as per CGT.
The second and technical session was led by CA, S K Malhotra, who talked in length about recent amendments and updates on ITC. In the last session, resource person talked about Rectifications U/S 161 CGST Act, 2017.
