DC reviews rejuvenation of water bodies in Udhampur

Jammu : Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the rejuvenation of water bodies within the Municipal Council Udhampur, Municipal Committee Ramnagar and Chenani. The meeting focused on formulating strategies to conserve and revitalize key water bodies.
Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal, Chief Executive Officer MC Udhampur Rajinder Kumar Digra, Executive Officer Ramnagar, Executive Officer Chenani and other concerned officers participated in the meeting.
The DC emphasized the need for a multi-stakeholder approach, directing officials, especially technical teams to conduct detailed surveys of existing water bodies, assess their current conditions and prepare comprehensive policy for the rejuvenation of water bodies. DC urged all stakeholders to work collaboratively for effective implementation of the rejuvenation initiatives.
