Under the District Annual Credit Plan (2024-25), which targets Rs.1937 crore, banks disbursed Rs.825.53 crore to 31,775 beneficiaries during Q2, achieving 43% of the ACP target.
While reviewing the sector-wise performance, the DC instructed banks to enhance credit disbursement in agriculture, MSME, and emphasized sectors like farm mechanization, education, housing, and renewable energy.
LDM also highlighted that Kulgam district has achievements recorded under government schemes such as PMEGP, Artisans/Weavers Credit Card, and PM Weavers Mudra Scheme. Additionally, 317 vehicles have been provided under the Mumkin Scheme, 29 cases disbursed under Tejaswini, and 47 cases under Spurring initiative.
The DC stressed the importance of timely and efficient implementation of government-sponsored schemes like PMEGP, REGP, NRLM, and NULM to promote self-employment in the district.
